Problem: DATA RECOVERY OF A SATA RAID DRIVE
DATA RECOVERY OF A SATA RAID DRIVE
I have a two SATA HD, RAID STRIPE SET. That I may need to pull data off of. The pc will not boot , possible corrupted reg, going to try the recovery console route tomorrow. Incase that does not work...if I take one of the HDs from the stripe set out and put it into a nother sata pc, running win xp prof, will I see any data ( files, pictures, databases..etc) on the stripe set HD ?
IS there away to recover this data from the stripe set if I can not get windows xp running again ?
Solution: DATA RECOVERY OF A SATA RAID DRIVE
No you will not. I would suggest that you assume the array is intact and direct your attention to restoring the boot process if possible. If indeed one drive has failed, then your data is lost as a striped set has no redundancy. This would be possible with a mirrored set. T
