CISCO 1710 CONNECTION TO MODEM
CISCO 1710 CONNECTION TO MODEM
I have a cisco 1710 which i am trying to configure. I can not get the connection to work between the router and a modem.
I have two spare 'routers' that are both in bridging mode a Linksys 54G and a Zoom x3.
I can not get the cisco to talk to either of these two routers. When i test the connection i get unable to obtain IP errors.
Am i missing something obvious? I cant say that the two routers i have are acting correctly as they are two routers after all. All i know is that the Linksys seems to be working ok as i can perform a dial up from my PC which brings back the correct IP from the ISP...
If anyone has a config or helpfull information it would be most appreicated.
Solution: CISCO 1710 CONNECTION TO MODEM
<< My only problem now is that i am receiving the following error. I beleive this is now a routing problem.

Yes -- agreed seems your router does not know where to send DNS requests!
i will look at this later & get back to you.
What are you using for DNS on your network?
Also, will you respond to my questions in the previous comment?
