connecting 2computers to monitor
connecting 2computers to monitor
I have 2computers.
I'll just call it COM1 and COM2. The COM2 monitor is broken and can not use it.
What happens if I connect COM2 to COM1 monitor
So it's like connecting 2computers to 1monitor.
Can I use COM2 as well as the COM1
Solution: connecting 2computers to monitor
@lolbox,
Ah...no, never tried that. I suspect it would pick one input signal over the other and simply ignore the other. Some monitors do have built in input selections ability thru onscreen menus.
@bt1942,
You connect keyboard/video/monitor to the KVM using the existing cables. Then, usually, the KVM comes with two other sets of cables that you connect from the the KVM to each computer.
