  • 8 short beeps

    Upon boot up, this V2Premier computer gives 8 short beeps (repeatedly)... no video. Everything is unplugged from the MOBO (P4VMM2 ?) but the RAM. If I remove the RAM I then get one long beep... so I think the RAM is ok. We are basically trying to boot up a MOBO with a CPU (?) and RAM (?) on it.

  • Can't adjust monitor resolution, stuck on 8 bit colour

    I have a Dell GX270 with an E771p monitor. Running Win XP. Just re built the machine and now I can't adjust the monitor resolution. It is stuck on the lowest resolution with 8 bit colour. I did download and install the monitor and video card drivers from Dell but this reduced it from 16 bit to 8...

  • Microsoft VPN disconnects exactly 8 hours after logon.

    Dell desktop disconnects exactly 8 hours after loging on to Windows VPN. I have a laptop and it will stay connected until I disconnect. Both are running Windows XP Professional. Any ideas where I can look for this "Timer". Thanks
