  • PC sometimes fails to respond to mouse/keyboard change

    At my desk I have a a desktop PC and a docking station for a laptop. I use a USB KVM switch to control both computers with a single mouse/keyboard.   • Compaq Presario X1000 laptop won't boot

    You turn it on and just the COMPAQ logo and 'F10=ROM Based Setup' appears. It goes no further. You press F10 and 'Entering Setup' appears and hangs and doesn't go further. Any ideas on what it could be and how to troubleshoot? Thank you.
